Lobos Clinches Lead In Seventh Inning For Victory Over Cypress Park
Lobos took the lead late and defeated Cypress Park 4-3 on Tuesday. The game was tied at three with Lobos batting in the top of the seventh when Jessie Moreno grounded out, scoring one run.
Lobos fired up the offense in the first inning, when Moreno singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
Cypress Park knotted the game up at three in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Niko Garcia was the winning pitcher for Lobos. The righty lasted seven innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out ten.
Sandoval was on the pitcher’s mound for Cypress Park. The righthander allowed five hits and two runs over five innings, striking out three. Salcido threw two innings in relief.
Garcia led Lobos with two hits in three at bats.
Saldana went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Cypress Park in hits. Cypress Park didn’t commit a single error in the field. Gutierrez had the most chances in the field with five.
