Late Score Costs Lobos Against Cypress Falls

Tuesday’s game against Cypress Falls was a heartbreaker for Lobos, as they lost the lead late in a 5-2 defeat. The game was tied at one with Cypress Falls batting in the top of the fifth when Elian Balmaceda’s sac fly scored one run for Cypress Falls.
Jonathon Valdez got the start for Cypress Falls. Valdez lasted five innings, allowing three hits and one run while striking out six and walking one.
Niko Garcia was on the hill for Lobos. The pitcher went five and two-thirds innings, allowing three runs on seven hits and striking out seven. Seth Johnson and Keving Hernandez entered the game as relief, throwing one inning and one-third of an inning respectively.
Emilio Rodriguez, Elias Paz, Jessie Moreno, Garcia, and Alex Zozaya each collected one hit to lead Lobos.
Cypress Falls tallied nine hits on the day. Travis Arellano and Trey Silas each managed multiple hits for Cypress Falls.
